The stiff arm of an excavator refers to a fixed or non-moving arm structure. In an excavator, the arm is one of the main components that extends from the machine’s chassis and supports the bucket. The arm is responsible for raising and lowering the bucket, allowing the excavator to dig, lift, and manipulate materials.
Excavator Stiff Arm Boss Repairs
Recently we repaired an Excavator Stiff arm that was damaged and the bore was elongated which needed a new boss machined.
The old boss was cut out and new boss fitted and fully welded.
